Adult Classes

Slavin Nadal School of Ballet offers both ballet and Pilates classes for adults. From beginner classes for those who have no previous training to advanced classes, we have a class for every skill level.
New Spring Adult Ballet Intensive
March 6 – 8, 2020 (Fri – Sun)
Elementary level and up
Join us for a 3 day ballet intensive designed for the adult dancer! Classes include ballet technique, variations/repertoire, dance history, yoga, Pilates, and more. You can do single days or come for all three for a unique and enriching experience!

Available Adult Classes

Adult I - Beginning

This class is designed for absolute beginners with no previous ballet training. The curriculum includes the basic vocabulary of classical ballet that serves as a foundation for advancement. Students will also learn correct posture and core muscle engagement, and ballet stretching.

Dress Code
Leotard, tights, or form fitting leggings of any color, ballet slippers, and hair secured. Skirts permitted.

Adult II - Elementary

This class is for adults who have completed one or two semesters of beginning ballet training and are ready for more challenging combinations with an expanded movement vocabulary. It is also a good choice for those who have not danced for a long time and wish to ease their way back into ballet training.

Dress Code
Leotard, tights, or form fitting leggings of any color, ballet slippers, and hair secured. Skirts permitted.

Adult III - Intermediate/Advanced

Structured ballet class with a vocabulary appropriate to adult intermediate and advanced students..

Pilates Mat Class

Ages 10–Adult. Please bring your own Yoga/Pilates mat.

Pilates Reformer Class

Private and Duet classes available. Contact us to schedule.

Jazz 6 week series

Starting soon. Call for details.

For students ages 11 + who have had some experience in ballet or other dance forms. We'll learn elements of basic jazz technique in a fun and nurturing environment and explore various styles of jazz.

Please wear appropriate clothing such as leotards, tights, yoga wear/leggings, tank tops or tee shirts. Jazz shoes or ballet shoes required. NO SOCKS or STREET SHOES. Bring a water bottle and be ready to MOVE!

Flow Yoga Class w/Childcare

Sundays 10-11am

All levels welcome! Stretch, strengthen and unwind - without the kiddos. We've got you and your munchkins covered. Bring or borrow a mat.
Yoga Class: $20; Childcare:$5/child*
* This is a hosted class, so payment is to be made directly to the instructor and Slavin Nadal class cards cannot be used.

Adult Payment Options:

Adult “Drop-In” class price: $20 Ballet, Pilates, and Yoga 
Adult 8-Class Card: $150 Ballet, Pilates 
Reduced Rate 8-Class Card: $130 for seniors 60+ and college students (with ID), Slavin Nadal alumni (completed Adv level), and family members of enrolled students.

All adult classes are open to adults (age 15+) on a “drop-in” rather than enrollment basis.

Slavin Nadal alumni who have completed at least one year of the advanced level within the last 3 years and visiting professional dancers may be permitted to “drop-in” to the advanced class.
