Tuition Payment Options
Semester Payment:
1. Entire semester tuition is paid upon registration. (no registration fee or deposit) or,
2. Returning students may pay the semester deposit amount by the registration renewal deadline to secure their placement for the following semester, with the remainder due on the first day of class (no registration fee) or,
3. Returning students registering after the renewal deadline and new students may secure their placement by paying an amount equal to the registration fee and deposit upon registration, with the remainder due on the first day of class (registration fee AND deposit is deducted when tuition is paid).

Installment Payment Option:
1. Semester deposit is due upon registration for the first semester of enrollment. Spring deposit is
already calculated in the December installment for returning students (adjusted if spring enrollment changes).
2. Installments:  10 equal payments due the 1st of each month August-May.  The  August payment  is due the first day of class less the deposit.
3. A $20 non-refundable registration fee will be added to the deposit for new or lapsed registrations.
4. Tuition may be hand-delivered or mailed to the studio and must be received no later than the 10th of the month to avoid a $20 late fee. If you make a payment after the 10th please add the late fee to your payment unless you have made other arrangements with the Directors.
5. A $2 installment fee is included in each payment. Students may opt to pay the remaining semester
balance any time prior to Nov 10th (fall) or April 10th (spring) to avoid further installment fees.

The deposit only holds placement until the first day of class. Enrollment will continue until classes reach
capacity. Students with an unpaid balance after the first day of class may lose their spot if the class fills.

Adult Payment Options:
Adult “Drop-In” class price: $20
Adult 8-Class Card: $150
Reduced Rate 8-Class Card: $130 (see below for details).

1. Class cards can be used for regular Adult Ballet, Pilates Mat, or Fitness classes that have not reached capacity – first come, first served.
2. Class cards are non-transferrable and expire after the first full semester from date of purchase. No refunds or replacements.
3. Reduced rate is for seniors 60+ and college students (with ID), Slavin Nadal alumni (completed Advanced level), and family members of enrolled students.
4. All adult classes are open to adults (age 13+) on a “drop-in” rather than enrollment basis.
5. Slavin Nadal alumni who have completed at least one year of the advanced level within the last 3 years and visiting professional dancers may be permitted to “drop-in” to the advanced class.

Tuition & Refund Policies
 
1. Enrollment is a mutual commitment for the entire academic year, regardless of whether each semester is paid in full or by installment. Unless otherwise agreed with the Directors, spring enrollment will be the same class level as the fall. Enrollment after the start of the semester will be prorated accordingly.

2. Students may withdraw from the spring semester without penalty provided they submit a completed withdrawal form to the Directors no later than November 10th. Should a change in class schedule from the fall to the spring semester create an unavoidable conflict, students will have five days from the date we notify them of the schedule change to submit a completed withdrawal form and withdraw from the spring semester. Except as noted below, there will be no refunds of any tuition already paid, but a credit toward future classes may be offered.

3. Due to the calendar and holidays, the number of classes taken per month varies. Since tuition calculations are based on the entire semester, installment payments are the same for months with and without holidays.

4. Refunds of tuition are given only for periods of unforeseen personal medical conditions that prevent a student from safely studying ballet. Written confirmation of such conditions must be provided by a medical doctor within two weeks of a medical event and clearly indicate the anticipated period of disability. Exceptions may be considered only for those who can document a significant hardship that prevents them from attending classes. Any refunds are limited to tuition only, excluding registration fees and other charges. Approved refunds will be assessed at least a 20% cancellation charge unless they are applied as credit toward future enrollment. For any cancelled classes, a credit will be offered toward the next scheduled payment, or enrollment for the following semester for those students already paid in full.

5. There are no credits or reimbursements for missed classes. Students should notify the school via phone or email in advance if they will miss class. Missed classes may be made up within the month (if family selects Installment Payment Option) or any time during the semester (if family selects Semester Payment Option). Make-up classes may be taken in the same level or lower. Make-up classes are intended for unavoidable absences only, not as a convenience. We may limit make-up classes for students with excessive/persistent absences.

6. A 5% tuition discount is offered to families when more than one sibling is enrolled.

7. There is a $30 charge for returned checks. There is a $20.00 fee for late Installment payments.
